Poor Twitter. First, the social networking page is barely recognized by the American population and now its publicly ridiculed by Kid Rock.
Media sources reveal that the musician went on quite the rant in a Rolling Stone magazine article about the social networking site that lets users express themselves in 140 characters or less.
He reportedly said, 'It's gay. If one more person asks me if I have a Twitter, I'm going to tell them, 'Twitter this [expletive], mother[expletive].'
Consequently, his remarks have put him out of favor with gay and lesbian publications including gaysocialites.com that named him their least favorite person of the week. The author felt his remarks were homophobic.
On the other hand, U2 have nothing but love for Twitter and they displayed this sentiment while kicking off their recent tour.
They joined the Twitter community with the username @U2_360Tour and constantly tweeted photographs of themselves, their tour vans and surroundings to give fans a privileged insight into their life on the road.
The Twitter-friendly band plan to hit the states in September, starting off their tour in Chicago.
