Whatever happened to giving an official two-week's notice? Apparently such courtesies may not apply to the stars, particularly Paula Abdul who reportedly just quit her American Idol judging job via a Twitter post.
'With sadness in my heart, I've decided not to return to Idol,' was her tweet, media sources revealed.
Her decision whether to stay or go has been debated across the airwaves, papers and internet for the past few weeks, and American Idol fans won't even be gratified with a reason for her departure.
Instead, Abdul expressed that she cares about all those who support her and she 'appreciate[s] the undying support and enormous love' from her fans.
According to Sky News, there didn't seem to be any hard feelings between Abdul and the Fox TV network, for executives released a statement explaining they were 'saddened' by her move.
However, it turns out Abdul is not the only Twitter fiend among the American Idol cast, for the news provider reveals that host Ryan Seacrest posted a tweet expressing how he too was 'saddened' at the news.
If nothing else, these tweeting stars further prove that you perhaps really can say anything in 140 characters or less.
