Tweeting again from an orbit near you

Everybody's doing it these days, from Ashton Kuchner to Oprah - tweeting, that is. Thanks to modern technology, even astronauts can throw in their 140-character perspectives for the entertainment of us earthly beings.

If you ever wanted to follow the inter-galactic musings of an astronaut, check out @Astro_Tim, also known as US Army Colonel Tim Kopra. He also becomes the latest International Space Station inhabitant to use Twitter while floating above the earth.

On top of revealing what it's really like to sleep in zero gravity conditions, Kopra also plans to answer questions from the public that can be submitted to him at www.goarmy.com.

This astronaut and West Point graduate may just be using Twitter to express his excitement at being in space, for this is Kopra's first time up above the Earth.

Kopra joins the space station crew as a flight engineer and army aviator. Currently, two other Russian cosmonauts, one European Space agency astronaut, a second NASA astronaut and one Canadian Space Agency astronaut are living in the space station.
