CheapTweet.com is the first Twitter-based deals search engine and its grown 600 percent this year. As we all know, Twitter has been kicking some serious social networking tail these last fews months, and CheapTweet is reaping the benefits of all this exposure.
The search engine goes through Twitter posts and seeks out the best deals, coupons and sales that people are talking about. And since it's the tweeters that are posting this information, you can pretty much find anything. Furthermore, websites like drugstore.com are opening stores sort of like private businesses do on eBay.
'Drugstore.com is excited to launch our CheapTweet store and to offer our customers the option to connect with us on Twitter,' said David Lonczak, VP of of drugstore.com. 'We're delighted to be working with CheapTweet to reach online shoppers with special values on gifts for the holiday season as well as great deals everyday from our wide selection of more than 45,000 non-prescription products.'
As it says on the website, CheapTweet is in no way associated with Twitter. The business belongs to Appozite, an e-commerce operation.
