A brother and his two half-siblings were reunited on Sunday thanks to a message sent on Facebook.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jonathan Frank of Bayonne, New Jersey, hired a private investigator to locate his biological mother last week. The investigator discovered that Frank's mother, whose family name was Sideris, passed away in 2006. However, with the information the PI uncovered, Frank managed to find his half-brother and sister on Facebook.
'I don't know if you are my brother or not, or if you are looking for me. But I have been waiting my whole life for this moment,' wrote Frank to his brother John Martino in a message entitled 'curious,' according to the NY Daily News.
Martino received the message and rushed to contact his father and sister. The Martino children, unlike Frank, did not know their mother had given birth to a child and subsequently put him up for adoption, but their father confirmed the story. Martino decided to write back to Frank and he included his telephone number in the message. A few days later, Frank met his brother and sister, Janine Martino, for a meal at John's home in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Facebook currently connects 250 million people, according to Bloomberg. Mark Zuckerberg, the social networking site's CEO, says he plans to eventually have 1 billion.
