FiLife, a Dow Jones and IAC joint venture, has staged a competition on Twitter to see who can tweet the best 3-word suggestions to improve the American healthcare system. The partnership is calling its challenge the Fix Healthcare contest, and participants are to post their entries by noon EDT on September 16 if they want to win the $100 prize.
'At FiLife, our mission is to foster a community where users look to experts and to one another for the best advice in personal finance,' said Ezra Kucharz, president of FiLife. 'Amid the nationwide healthcare debate, and given healthcare's financial toll on families, the topic is perfect for the FiLife 'Fix Healthcare' contest.'
Twitter is becoming a platform for conducting all sorts of business and other activities. The site has become enormously popular recently, as micro-blogging appears to be a convenient form of communication for many. Twitter received attention last June when Iranian protesters used it to express themselves during their country's presidential election.
