Patrick Swayze, who starred in the popular movies Ghost, Point Break and many others, died on Monday. His publicist told CNN that pancreatic cancer was the cause. NewsChannel 9 of Chatanooga, Tennessee decided to invite Swayze's fans to share their thoughts about his passing on the station's Facebook page.
A woman named Debbie Huckaby wrote, 'His comment today on Good Morning America from 'Ghost'-'you take the love with you.' What a wonderful legacy.' Another fan named Dan Lehr posted, 'I think the best movie Swayze was in was 'the Outsiders.' 'Dirty Dancing' a close 2nd.'
In an interview with Barbara Walters in January, Swayze said that he wanted to die knowing that he had tried to give something back and that he had done something worthwhile with his life.
Swayze acted until the end. The Beast, his show that premiered at the beginning of the year, was only canceled in June when doctors told the actor his sickness had gotten significantly worse.
